The 2012 Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant and Miss Central Pennsylvaia's Outstanding Teen Pageant will be held at the Lewistown Elementary School located at 1 Manor Drive in Lewistown, PA at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012. All rehearsals and interviews will take place on the day of the pageant. The Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant and the Miss Central Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen Pageant are sponsored by the Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization, a non-profit organization. The pageants are official preliminaries to the Miss Pennsylvania and Miss America Pageants and to the Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen and Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageants. In the 2011 pageant held in February 2011 the pageant awarded almost $5000 in scholarships and other awards. In addition,three young women, Miss Central Pennsylvania Laura Traub, Miss Greater Juniata Valley Sherri Homanko and Miss Freedom Forge Tristalyn Bixler-Kint were given the opportunity to participate in the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant where all won additional honors and scholarship money. Also, three young women, Miss Central Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen Maria Cinti, Miss Greater Juniata Valley's Outstanding Teen Katie Schrecengast and Miss Freedom Forge's Outstanding Teen Sandra Archer won teen titles and competed in the Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Pageant where Maria was named First Runner-Up, Talent Award Winner and Winner of the Miss America's Outstanding Teen "Teens in Training" Scholarship and Katie was named Second Runner-Up, Interview Award Winner, Spirit Award Winner and Children's Miracle Network Award Winner. The Miss Central Pennsylvania and Miss Central Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Pageants are held in Lewistown, PA, 30 miles southeast of State College on U.S. route 322.
