The 2011 Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant will be held at the Lewistown Community Center located at 108 Montgomery Avenue in Lewistown, PA at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011. All rehearsals and interviews will take place on the day of the pageant. The Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant and the Miss Central Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Pageant are sponsored by the Miss Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization, a non-profit organization. The pageants are official preliminaries to the Miss Pennsylvania and Miss America Pageants and to the Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen and Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageants. In the 2010 pageant held in February 2010 the pageant awarded almost $4000 in scholarships and other awards. In addition, three young women, Miss Central Pennsylvania Lauryn DeBaie, Miss Greater Juniata Valley Rayna Reid and Miss Freedom Forge 2010 Heidi Welker were given the opportunity to participate in the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant where all won additional honors and scholarship money with Lauryn being named Second Runner-Up, Preliminary Talent Winner and Preliminary Swimsuit Winner and winner of the Miss Pennsylvania Community Service Award. In addition two young women, Miss Central Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Katie Schreckengast and Miss Greater Juniata Valley Cassie Cerulli won teen titles and competed in the Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Pageant where Cassie was named second runner-up. The Miss Central Pennsylvania and Miss Central Pennsylvania Outstanding Teen Pageants are held in Lewistown, PA, 30 miles southeast of State College on U.S. route 322.
